For over 30 years our academy has provided students, parents, and audiences with the opportunity to experience the rich traditions and heritage of Irish dance and music. Liam Harney, a two-time World Championship Irish Step Dancer, is the director of HPK and an accredited internationally known teacher as well as an adjudicator for competitions around the world. We have approximately 200 dancers ages three and up coming to our Walpole studio from throughout southern New England.

Our dancers range from beginners to world champions. Dancers at all levels have the opportunity to showcase their talents at many events throughout the year. As dancers progress, they may choose to compete at local, national, and international competitions. We support every dancer’s individual goals and journey. Irish dance is distinctive and artistic, requiring athleticism and flexibility with components similar to tap as well as ballet. Most importantly, it is fun and helps develop life-long skills like focus, self-confidence, and perseverance. Anyone who has an interest in dance, enjoys rhythm, movement, and likes to have fun can join! Our introductory classes aim to teach the basic sets of steps and movements in easy, attainable increments. Students will learn and practice steps to Irish music in a fun environment, while feeling supported in their personal growth and development as a dancer. About the Top Irish Step Dancing Classes in the 2023 Boston Parents Paper Family Favorites

Boston Parents’ Family Favorites was born with the idea to give readers in Greater Boston and throughout the Northeast a chance to voice their opinions on their personal ‘Family Favorite’ choices for Irish Step Dancing Classes and everything kids and family. The program has evolved over the years, and hopefully, with a lot of input from our readers, we’ve been able to make it better and better.

The voting for Boston’s Family Favorite Irish Step Dancing Classes is conducted in a two-round process. The first round occurs in the month of March with open write-in nominations for parent’s favorite Irish Step Dancing Classes taking place. As more and more nominations come in, the most written-in Irish Step Dancing Classes become automatically selectable and listed making it easier and easier for people to cast their nominations. And write-in nominations continue to be open until the middle of April.

As the nomination period for Irish Step Dancing Classes in the first round comes to a close, shortly after, the second round opens with the top nominee Irish Step Dancing Classes being selectable in this final round of voting during the month of April and May. Write-in nominations are no longer available, and voters are open to select their favorite Irish Step Dancing Classes from among those that are listed.
