Long known for its excellence in bilingual French and English education, the International School of Boston (ISB) is adding another world language, Spanish, for our students to explore and master starting in Grade 2. Pre-K through Grade 1 students will participate in the Éveil aux langues program.
Elementary students will have the opportunity to become trilingual, and secondary students will have the option to study Spanish at the novice or fluent level within the English-based International Baccalaureate curriculum.
ISB students graduate with an American high school diploma and choose between two internationally renowned diplomas, the French or the International Baccalaureate, giving them the opportunity to thrive at leading universities in the United States, France, and around the world. Offering a rich experience with rigorous programs, ISB prepares its students for a lifetime of learning and service.

We have three kids at ISB, all of them started in the Maternelle (pre-school). We don’t speak French at home but value multilingualism as a life skill. All our children picked up French faster than we could have imagined. The Maternelle is very relaxed and play-based but with a lot of structure in the background that provides valuable insight into your child’s progress. Our eldest is about to start Middle School and is picking up German as a third school language. Great community and excellent school experience.
