How the School Open House Platform Subscription Works

The School Open House Platform operates on a month-to-month subscription system that determines when your events appear on the calendar.
Each subscription period runs from the first day of the month through the last day of that same month — there is no prorating for partial months.

Subscription Timing and Visibility

Your subscription starts with the month in which your earliest event takes place and extends backward to the month you want your events to begin appearing on the calendar.
You must have an active subscription for every month between those two points.

  • If an event occurs in October, and you want it visible starting in September, your subscription must cover September and October.
  • If you also want parents to start seeing it in August, you would activate August, September, and October.

Unlimited Posting Within Active Months

Once a month is active, you can post as many events as you want, provided their event dates fall within your active subscription months.
For example, activating October allows you to post unlimited events happening anytime between October 1 and October 31.

Examples

Example 1 – Simple Two-Month Window

You have two Open Houses:
• October 10
• November 3
You want them to start showing on the calendar October 1.
✅ You must activate October and November (2 months total).

Example 2 – Starting Visibility Earlier

Same October and November events, but you want families to start seeing them on September 1.
✅ You must activate September, October, and November (3 months total).

Example 3 – One Early Event, One Later Event

You have an August 25 event and another on October 15, and you want both to be visible starting July 1.
✅ You must activate July, August, September, and October (4 months total).
This ensures all your event dates (August–October) are visible starting from your chosen preview month (July).

Example 4 – Multiple Events in the Same Month

You plan five events in March, and you want them to appear starting February 1.
✅ You only need February and March active.
You can post all five events — the system allows unlimited postings within those active months.

Summary

  • Subscriptions run from the 1st to the last day of each month.
  • No prorating — even if you start mid-month, the full month counts.
  • To control how early your events appear, simply activate additional months going backward from the event date.
  • You can post unlimited events as long as their dates fall within your active months.
