Valley Hill Summer Camp

Valley Hill Summer Camp is a co-ed sleepaway camp that provides the very best of both worlds — elite instruction in the specialized morning academies and traditional camp fun for the rest of the day. This structure allows for a balanced, enriching and memorable summer sleepaway camp experience. We combine learning and development with a change to have fun and build everlasting friendships. LOCATION & SETTING: Valley Hill Summer Camp is housed on the picturesque and state of the art 500 acre campus of South Kent School in South Kent, CT. The school is consistently voted amongst the top 50 boarding schools in the world and has the amenities to match: -- Dorm Style Living: Comfortable and spacious, allowing for a true "home away from home" experience -- State of the art facilities: The campus boasts a brand new ice rink, a cutting edge athletic and training facility, an outdoor pool, outdoor tennis courts and professional grade soccer turfs. -- A working farm: South Kent School's working organic farm delivers fresh vegetables and herbs directly to the school's kitchen. Valley Hill campers will have a chance to learn about that process, and join in! THE PROGRAM: Each day is crafted to allow campers to spend their morning immersed in their chosen speciality activity under elite instruction (within one of our 7 academies) before switching gears and enjoying an afternoon schedule filled with variety, new experiences and pure fun. -- With 7 morning academies to choose from - there is something for every camper: Arts, Basketball, Figure Skating, Ice Hockey, Robotics, Soccer & Tennis. -- After spending the morning in their respective academy, campers rejoin their age groups and transition to a traditional camp program for the rest of the day. These activities are elective based and rotated on a daily basis to ensure campers have the opportunity to try a little bit of everything! Traditional activities include athletics, creative arts, science & nature & adventure. FOOD & NUTRITION Our farm-to-table dining hall, exclusively ran by FLIK Independent School Dining offers delicious and healthy, always homemade meals with a range of options at each sitting. Nourishing campers is part of our commitment to build strong bodies and sharp minds.
