School’s Out Summer Program
AboutThe School’s Out Summer Program (S.O.S.) will save your child/ren from the same ‘ol boring summer routine. S.O.S. will engage your child/ren in various adventurous activities. The School’s Out Summer Program is split into three groups: Mini Mates (ages 3-6) Sea Dogs (entering grades K-6) Middle School Crew (entering grades 7-9) The Mini Mates programs runs from 9:00 am- 12:00 pm while the Sea Dogs and Middle School Crew programs run from 8:30 am- 4:30 pm with extended care from 7:30-8:30 am and 4:30-5:30 pm. The Mini Mates and Sea Dogs participants will engage in a variety of age-appropriate themed activities which will provide children the opportunity to socialize and function in a group setting, experience the excitement of meeting new friends, gain self-confidence and learn to respect others. The Middle School Crew Program is a counselor-in-training program where participants are taught childcare skills and are exposed to leadership opportunities and a solid work ethic model. The location of the School’s Out Summer Program is at the Greater Lawrence Technical School at 57 River Road in Andover. We will have use of two classrooms, the pool, gym, tennis courts and the fields. There will be six theme based weeks beginning July 2 and ending August 10. Children may register for as few as one week or for all six weeks. The daily schedule will include free play, group games and sports, arts and crafts, kid-run clubs, swimming, tennis and weekly field trips. The School’s Out Summer Program is licensed as a camp by the state of Massachusetts and the Andover Board of Health.
