Production Camp: James and the Giant Peach, Jr.
AboutStudents will explore their creativity and expand their acting, singing, and dancing skills. From audition preparation to Opening Night, all students will explore what it takes to produce a stage show. A typical day will include: -Theatre arts classes in acting, character development, dance, voice, and improvisation. -Production rehearsals will include group and individual coaching sessions with the director, musical director and choreographer. Each camp will conclude with three performances of a fully realized production professionally produced and ticketed for the public. Join us for this "masterpeach" of a tale based on Roald Dahl’s famous novel. James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements along the way.
