Production Camp: 1776, An American Musical

This Production is For High School Students Only* Students will explore their creativity and expand their acting, singing, and dancing skills. From audition preparation to Opening Night, all students will explore what it takes to produce a stage show. A typical day will include: -Theatre arts classes in acting, character development, dance, voice, and improvisation. -Production rehearsals will include group and individual coaching sessions with the director, musical director and choreographer. Each camp will conclude with three performances of a fully realized production professionally produced and ticketed for the public. Join us in the summer of 1776, as the the nation is ready to declare independence... if only our founding fathers can agree to do it! 1776 follows John Adams of Massachusetts, Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson of Virginia as they attempt to convince the members of the Second Continental Congress to vote for independence from the shackles of the British monarchy by signing the Declaration of Independence. Our production will feature gender-bling casting for all roles.Additional Information
