Penguin Coding Summer Session

Penguin Coding School was started in the fall of 2016 by a Lexington MA dad with a 15 year career in Silicon Valley to turn kids onto the joys of coding. We have developed an unique curriculum that emphasizes the joys of creation as the motivation for learning.

Total Creativity with Scratch

Students design their own game or animation story while learning how to code. MIT-developed Scratch is the best medium for young learners.

Project: Choose Your Own Adventure

Students learn HTML and Javascript to build their own web story book. Create multiple characters and storylines while learning a real professional programming language.

Project: Build Your Own Webstore

Students learn HTML and Javascript to build their own web store selling real or imaginary items. Create a product catalog and learn how searching and filtering works in a real web store. Play make belief while learning a real professional programming language.

Sessions During the School Year

We offer 3 semesters of instruction during the school year (fall, winter, spring) plus the summer session.  Scratch is taught for grades 1-3, HTML/CSS/Javascript classes for students in grades 4-8 and Python and Java classes for high school students and advanced middle school students.

If you are interested, please sign up for a free trial course that is offered throughout the year.
