Let's Put On A Show!
Our program has 5 week long sessions from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Each week will have a special theme. In the course of the week, Director Paula Chase will help the kids:
* Choose a story and use improv games to create a script with a part for everyone
* Write the lyrics and melody for songs that support the story
* Get coaching on how to deal with stage fright
* Learn how to give constructive feedback and be nice at the same time
* Rehearse for a Friday performance for families and friends
While your kids are working together to create and perform a show, they’ll have a chance to make new friends in a supportive, non-competitive environment. It’s also a chance to have a blast with old friends.
Feedback from Summer 2018:
"Janie pretty much enjoyed everything about it (and still sings all the songs!), and for me, the fact that it was so convenient was a big plus! The only thing she wasn't happy about was that I couldn't change the laws of time and space to let her keep going while we were on vacation and she was at ballet camp. (She did enjoy ballet camp, she just wishes she could have done both at the same time!) I hope we can do it again next summer!"
"Thanks for a great summer. Matteus is already looking forward to the next session!"
"Thanks for all the great shows this summer! The kids enjoyed playing with the other kids, dressing up, and learning the songs. I didn't hear any complaints, so not sure what they liked least. Let us know when you start making plans for next summer."
