Grotonwood Camp & Conference Center
At Grotonwood we believe that lives are transformed and hearts are renewed by an experience at camp. We provide cabin style housing amongst our 250 acres of woodlands and three hot meals per day in our large and spacious dining hall which also offers a fresh salad bar, fresh soups and juice bar. Our in-house activities include: rock climbing, low ropes challenge course, crafts, archery, swimming, tubing, pontoon boat picnics, kayaking and canoeing, campfires, chapel, small group bible study, sports clinics, large group games such as safari, color wars and alpha wolf, mountain biking, outdoor survival skills, glow in the dark capture the flag, fishing stargazing and store-time to name but a few! We have an SIT program called Leadership Lab for grades 10-11 in which youth learn what it takes to make camp run, work alongside the staff and understand the qualities necessary for leadership. Campers can choose their free-time activities, participate in the full camping program while building their resume. Grotonwood has been providing camping experiences for adults with disabilities since 1966. The program runs simultaneously but independently to our youth and Day camp. We provide a 4:1 ratio except for Low Mobility week when our ratio is 2:1. Our desire is to provide camp experiences to all adults living with a bevy of disabilities (from Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, learning and processing challenges, blindness and many more). However, camp is an active environment and the pace of our program requires a certain minimum level of self help, mobility and social skills. Please contact the Camp office for further information: (978) 448 5763 (Mon thru Sat 9am-6pm) Registration for all programs is made online at www.grotonwood.org > Sign Up for Camp Here. To secure your place, a deposit must be paid by debit or credit card during enrollment.
