Grotonwood Camp & Conference Center

Nestled in the heart of Groton Massachusetts amongst 247 acres of private woodlands, Grotonwood is a treasure trove of traditional outdoor fun and recreation. This Christian day & sleep-away camp serves children in grades K-12, and has a separate thriving program for adults (18+) with disabilities.

Grotonwood runs two day camp programs. They are both designed to meet the intelectual, social, spiritual and physical needs of each population. If your child is in grade 5 (transition grade) please choose whichever program you feel they are most suited to based on their levels of maturity and social skills. If unsure, contact the camp office to discuss.

Day camp Alpha is designed for children in grades K-5.

Day Camp Omega is designed for children in grades 5-8.

Full Week: $365 and includes hot lunch, afternoon snack and daily swim block. Hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.

Flexi-Day Option: $78 per day. Can't stay the whole week? Register for as little as one day and make camp work around your schedule. Includes hot lunch, afternoon snack and daily swim block. Hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm and you can choose from Monday to Friday.

Breakfast Club: $10 per day and include hot breakfast. Check-in begins at 7:30am.

Dinner Club: $10 per day and includes a hot dinner. Check out is no later than 6:30pm.

Each week is themed differently to the last. The weekly theme defines the room decor and activities and is presented and discussed by the staff during snack time. Previous years have included Candy Land, Explorers, God Bless America, Jurrassic Pak, Circus Circus and Under the Sea. Themes keep day camp interesting for returning campers.

We are going into our 12th wonderful summer of being part of the Grotonwood family. I have 3 children and a nephew who have attended a week every summer since second grade. Two of them went last winter to elevate and are looking forward to the next one. The experiences, friendships and family they have gained will last their lifetime. They are sad to leave and long for the next summer to go back. The staff are amazing! They are welcoming and friendly. All children are very well cared for and loved. The routine of games, worship, adventures, swimming, and what my children tell me REALLY GOOD FOOD make a perfect week at away camp.

My kids grew up here

My three sons have all attended Grotonwood Camp from the time they were 5 and 6 years old. They have enjoyed day camp, overnight camp, and retreats. My older two have worked at camp and both wrote their college essays about their experiences with Grotonwood. (Yes, the camp had that much of a profound effect on them.) GW is the quintessential summer camp and after my kids attending for 14 years, I was lucky enough to attend "family camp" (with a friend) for a weekend last summer (2019). I plan to return this summer. There is no other place like GW! (And, if you're a working parent, like me, you'll appreciate the early drop off/late pick up option, as well as the hot meals...that's right -- no packing a lunch for your kids all summer!)

My daughter loves this place and so do I. It is a great camp for both young kids and teens. We have been sending our daughter for a few years now . Everyone is super friendly and the camp and cabins are well kept I make jokes that the cabins are nicer then our home. You need to try it you wont be sorry

My three sons have attended as campers or worked here for the past 12 summers, and have also attended retreats and other events. It is like a second home...
