Discovery Museum is a hands-on museum and outdoor nature playscape for families that blends science, nature, and play. The campus is ADA-compliant, built based on Universal Design principles to be usable by the widest range of ages and abilities.
Discovery Museum and its Discovery Woods outdoor nature playscape and giant treehouse combine hands-on, open-ended, all-ages STEAM exhibits—based on water, air, sound, light & color, making & tinkering, simple machines, and math—with immersive early learning experiences including a Diner, Train Room, and Ship Room. There is also a learning and sharing space for children from birth to age three and their parents or caregivers called Brain Building Together. The museum is accessible, and the Especially for Me program series offers dedicated and free museum hours for families experiencing an ASD, hearing loss, or vision loss.
