Derby Academy

Close, meaningful relationships between students and the faculty who know and care about them are a cornerstone of our Derby community. Because our students are known and respected, they have the confidence to be themselves and nurture an abiding sense of personal values and ethical behavior.

Our dedicated faculty, innovative curriculum, inspired arts, competitive athletics, and an array of community and leadership opportunities ensure students are challenged to learn and supported in their development.

Upon this foundation, our school builds a learning community with an “all-in” spirit. By exploring the amazing array of opportunities we offer, students discover hidden talents, unexpected interests, and build the confidence to face the future with boldness and curiosity.

During COVID-19, Derby Academy remains committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging mission-driven experience for all our students this fall. Our re-opening plan allows us to further differentiate our program and offers us more flexibility than many other public and area schools.
