Center for Cognitive and Brain Health at Northeastern University

Involvement in this study requires that you and your child come to our lab on four separate occasions, each lasting approximately 2- 2.5 hours. Below is a description of each day.

Day 1: This session will involve some questionnaires as well as some paper and pencil forms. Your child will also get to complete an exercise test on the treadmill to find out their peak heart beat range and have their body composition measured.

Days 2-4: Your child will be asked to walk on a treadmill, complete classroom-like activities, and read quietly. These three events will differ on each of the days. Then, your child will complete a brief cognitive task on the computer while we assess their brain waves (using an EEG cap- similar in appearance to a swim cap).

All information obtained in this study is confidential and will not be associated with your child!

Email Jenny Hunt for more information or to schedule a time to come in!
