Camp Wingate*Kirkland

About

Founded in 1957 and located on beautiful Cape Cod, Camp Wingate*Kirkland is a co-ed, overnight camp for children ages 7-15 and day camp for children ages 4-12 that offers a unique experience. We are a traditional camp in many ways, staying true to old fashioned values. And like it was 60 years ago – W*K is not a “plugged in” camp. The W*K community is small, nurturing and welcoming. Our size, as well as our camper-to-counselor ratio and our commitment to what we do, allows us to get to know each and every child well and provide the support, guidance and friendship to make their overnight camp experience one they can't wait to repeat.  We offer a daily choice program which empowers campers to choose their own schedule and design their perfect summer. Camp W*K takes food allergies very seriously. We are completely peanut, tree-nut and sesame free and provide individualized attention to food allergies and restrictions. We believe that when children are part of a kind, supportive and respectful community, they feel free to step out of their comfort-zone and try new things without the fear of failure. W*K is that community. Camper safety and developing life skills are our priorities.

Summer of Smiles

This was the best gift I could ever give my grand children. I wanted them to experience Camp like I did, and how I fondly remember. My grand daughters attended this Camp and had the best time. They made new friends that will last a life time; were totally disconnected from technology but most important came home from the summer more confident and self assured. Isn't that what we all want for our kids.

This camp is a place where your kid is seen for the incredible human being that she (he) is. I cannot believe the change in our kid--her self-confidence is...
