Best place on earth
Camp Birch Hill is truly a home away from home to a wonderful group of campers and counselors.
Best Summer Camp
Birch Hill is a well establishedand the best place for a summer extravaganza it has given me the best memories. I am still smiling 12 years on.
You’re search for the perfect camp is over 🙂
Five summers ago, we spent 2.5 months looking for the “best” camp to send my brothers, aged 8 and 12 at the time. We emailed about 20 camps trying to get a feel for a camp that offered a plethora of activities, ran for most of the summer, but most of all, would provide a great summer for 2 boys that had never gone away to day camp, nevertheless sleepaway camp. We decided on Camp Birch Hill and hoped for the best. Well, two weeks later when we called the boys, we could not believe how quickly they fell in love with the community. We were so thankful (and relieved) to hear their scratchy voices, sore from cheering on their peers, because that meant they were having fun (to say the least!), and even more thrilled (though slightly disappointed) when they wanted to go back to camp and not talk to us anymore. Words cannot express my gratitude for what Camp Birch Hill has done for Chris and Alex. Though Chris aged out of camp, Alex is going back for his sixth year, and I honestly can’t remember a time when he didn’t talk about how perfect camp is and how he wishes he were at camp every day. Camp became a haven for both the boys away from the chaos of the school year and for the boys to just be carefree kids. There were so many overwhelming camps to choose from that first year, and I cannot believe how lucky we were by choosing Camp Birch Hill.
BEST PLACE ON EARTH
Camp Birch Hill is the best place on earth. The land is as beautifully cared for as the campers are. My children cherish this summer camp and I am so grateful they have found a home away from home where they are supported so well.
My daughter attended this camp for two summers. The first summer was better than the second one in 2021. My daughter said that many of the evening games were very competitive ‘winner take all’ types of competitions which took some of the fun away. She also thought many of the kids had very ‘privileged’ attitudes (which some parents may like?!) and that she didn’t establish any really close friendships. Lastly we had a medical issue that the camp nurse did not deal with well in my opinion. We only tried to contact the camp on a few occasions by email but they were very unresponsive. It was only after I wrote a rather blunt letter that I was finally able to reach someone. I will not send her back again.
Camp Birch Hill was an excellent experience for our 10 year old daughter.
My daughter went for the first time last year and LOVED it. She said it was the best 2 weeks of her life. She made a ton of friends and felt so welcomed on the first day. She cab’t wait to go back this summer! It’s a wonderful, special place!!!
