Travel & Taste: Uganda
Join Joppa Flats' David Larson for his recent Mass Audubon tour to Africa for the birds and mammals of the amazing country of Uganda. From mountain gorillas in the aptly named Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to the grotesquely attractive Shoebill in the papyrus marshes along Lake Victoria, and from the raging torrent of Murchison Falls on the Nile to the weird African Finfoot in Lake Mburo, this trip found 400 species of birds, 45 species of mammals (including 9 species of monkey plus chimpanzee and mountain gorilla), and some amazing places. There will be pretty birds and funky monkeys, and you won't even break a sweat. Location-themed buffet dinner and lecture or lecture only. Pre-registration required for dinner by 5pm Tuesday, November 19. Online registration available. Walk-ins welcome for the Lecture Only portion.
