Join us for hands-on art classes designed specifically for homeschool artists ages 5-10. Taught by a professional art educator, we provide a wonderful opportunity for children to explore craft, learn a variety of techniques and make new friends. In this comprehensive course in artmaking, students will enhance their critical thinking, communication and visual literacy skills as they explore the museum and complete creative art projects. Both directed projects as well as individual ideas will be encouraged. All Supplies are included. 6-week sessions. Fridays 10:30 am – 11:30am, beginning September 28, 2018 (Dates above reflect the starting date of each individual six-week course). $65 per child for museum members / $95 per child for non-members Full payment is required at time of registration. Each class is limited to 12 students—a minimum of 6 students is required. About the Instructor: Joyce Lauro Joyce Lauro is a local artist and educator who enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for art and the positive and meaningful impact it brings into people’s lives with others. Engaging each student through their individual learning style to be successful in art making and understanding is a core part of her teaching practice.
