KidsJam is a free, interactive early childhood music education program for children ages 3–5, offered to the Boston-area community by the Music Education Department at Berklee College of Music. Designed to spark curiosity and joy through music, KidsJam introduces young learners to the core elements of a well-rounded musical foundation in a playful, welcoming environment.
Each session invites children to sing, move, explore sound, play rhythm instruments, create music, listen actively, and respond to what they hear—while discovering musical concepts and a variety of instruments along the way. Learning feels natural here, because it’s built around play.
The weekly workshops are led by Berklee music education students under the guidance of Associate Professor Mya Scarlato, giving future educators hands-on teaching experience while creating an energetic, engaging space where young musicians can thrive.
