“In the beginning…”—America and Bible culture - Author talk with Seth Perry


Join us for an insightful conversation with Prof. Seth Perry. He will discuss his new book, Bible Culture and Authority in the Early United States, which explores the emergence of American Bible printing and publishing immediately following the Revolution. Enjoy a pre-talk about our collection of historic Bibles with Shanna Smith, who manages the Library’s collections. Dr. Michael Hamilton, Executive Director of The Mary Baker Eddy Library, will introduce Dr. Perry, addressing the place and influence of this Bible culture in Mary Baker Eddy’s early life.
