Getting Started with Nature Drawing
In this one-day workshop, we’ll explore drawing methods and techniques. You’ll learn how to enhance your observation and drawing abilities – starting with warm-up exercises to develop hand-eye coordination, and moving on to valuable contour drawing techniques and memory drawing skills. You’ll do “follow-along” drawing exercises, and learn lots of practical tips for improving your skills. Barry will describe his field drawing methods and materials and show how the regular use of a field sketchbook can lead to a deeper understanding of the natural world while at the same time developing your artistic and expressive potential. Artist of all skill levels are welcome. Class size is limited so early registration is recommended. Pre-registration required. Online registration available. Barry W.
