Future Vet in Training: Childrens’ Vet Workshop

Does your child dream of becoming a veterinarian someday — or just ❤️ animals? Bring them to Future Vet in Training: Kids’ Animal Care Workshop at the Somerville Public Library! 📚🐶

On Monday, July 29, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, Tandem Vet Care and the library invite kids to step into a veterinarian’s shoes for the afternoon in this free, hands-on animal care workshop.

Here’s what’s planned:

✅ A lively, informal talk led by a local vet tech about visiting the vet — what happens when a dog has a sore paw, why cats get checkups, and how to safely meet a dog for the first time 🐕‍🩺

✅ Kids will get the chance to wrap a plush dog’s “injured” paw using fun paw-print gauze — and take their bandaged buddy home! 🐾

✅ Storytime featuring a Paw Patrol book 📖

✅ A simple animal-themed craft project ✂️

✅ Q&A time for all their curious questions about animals and veterinary care

Perfect for animal lovers and aspiring veterinarians, this interactive event combines learning, creativity, and fun — all in support of the Somerville Public Library’s mission to educate and inspire the community.
