Celebrate Clouded Leopard Day at Franklin Park Zoo!

Join Franklin Park Zoo on August 4 to celebrate Clouded Leopard Day and get to know Jye, one of the newest residents of the Tropical Forest!

This special event features:
– A coloring station from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., where young conservationists can color their own clouded leopard artwork to take home.
– An educational chat at 10:00 a.m. about clouded leopards, and how Zoo New England is committed to the protection of the species by participating in the Clouded Leopard Species Survival Plan (SPP).

Clouded leopards are known for their stunning, cloud-like markings, which provide excellent camouflage, and their unique ability to climb down trees headfirst. Native to parts of Southeast Asia, these elusive cats face serious threats from habitat loss and poaching.

By participating in the SPP, Zoo New England is helping to ensure the long-term survival of clouded leopards around the world.
