Are your puppets ready for their close-up? Join us for a fun, interactive building workshop that will take you through the process of professional puppet design and fabrication. The class will cover essential building techniques such as patterning, draping, carving, and sewing. Using real-life examples, we’ll learn how to make puppets comfortable, light, and durable; how to create expressive features; and how to construct mouth grips, arm rods, posable hands, and other essential elements. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn how a professional builder makes handmade puppets look their best, both inside and out! Recommended for ages 8 & up.
