Get ready for Lexington’s East Village Fair! This annual family event opens its doors again this year rain or shine for its 174th season. The first fair was held in East Lexington in 1839 as a fundraiser for the building of “…a Christian Church at East Lexington,” later Follen Church completed in 1840. It was a two-day event, and the whole of East Village participated. In recent times the East Village Fair has become a joint celebration by several East Village and Lexington organizations in addition to Follen Church. Annual participants include Wilson Farm, the Waldorf School, the East Lexington Association, and the Lexington Historical Society.
The East Village Fair is free and open to the public. Bring the whole family to this traditional fall celebration where you will find lots of games and activities for children of all ages, home-baked and grilled food for everyone, and the very popular large flea market and used book sale. Hide
