Imagination Playground

Kids invent their own ways to play as they stack and build with huge blue foam blocks, wheels, spools, tubes and a variety of loose parts. Construct castles and forts, invent interesting sculptures and more! Underwritten by Dominion Foundation.

No Time to Waste

In celebration of Earth Day, see a hilarious family comedy about trash and recycling. This interactive performance gives a lighthearted look at the three R's of protecting the environment – reducing, reusing and recycling. Four 20-minute shows at 10:30 & 11:30 AM and 12:15 & 1:15 PM; recommended for ages 5 and up. Underwritten by Dominion Foundation.

Animal Experiences

Meet an awesome assortment of live animals! Children have close encounters with furry friends, slithering snakes and other incredible creatures and learn fascinating facts about them from animal expert Dave Marchetti of Animal Experiences. Recommended for ages 3 and up.

Mad Science
Thursday, April 24 • 1:00 & 2:00 PM
Explore the magic of science in this mind-bending interactive show, which challenges audiences to help a mad scientist investigate the scientific method by observing, hypothesizing and experimenting. See paper disappear in a flash, witness objects floating in mid-air, create a bubble shower, conjure up a foggy storm and more! Shows at 1:00 & 2:00 PM; recommended for ages 3 and up.

Farm Friends
Friday, April 25 • 1:00 - 3:00 PM
Families encounter baby goats, a soft sheep and her lambs and a lively llama, and children take pony rides in the Museum’s Children’s Garden. Kids get a close look at these cuddly creatures and meet experts from Rhode Island farms, who demonstrate washing, carding, dying and spinning animals’ fleece into yarn. Hide
