Camp Information

Camp Description

Located across the beautiful Fresh Pond, in Cambridge, our center fosters a big and diverse community, working together to introduce the Olympic sport of fencing to the masses.

Every summer, during the month of July, Olympia Fencing Center offers three consecutive weeks of fencing camps, for children 6 to 12.

Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM-3:30 PM, with two hours free of charge extended pick up.

Our coaches are world-class fencing masters and professional educators, our vision is to make learning fencing fun and enjoyable, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

The camps start with introducing to each other then, weather permitting, we'll take the kids to the nearby Fresh Pond Reservation, for warming up, fitness and games. Singing is optional!

Lunch break follows at 11:30 AM, during which time we'll run fencing related movies on our big screen TV, like Zorro and The Princess Bride.

What are the kids learning during a typical day of camp: easy and correct stretching techniques, games of speed and agility, the rules of fencing, sportsmanship and camaraderie, exploring the electrical scoring system, wires and blades, why fencing is safer than badminton and finally, go fence!

Every week we'll conclude with a fencing tournament, medals will be awarded and pizza party will end the day.

Everyone brings home a Tshirt, new skills and lots of memories!
