Summer Enrichment Institute at Judge Baker Children's Center

Camp Information

Camp Description

The Summer Enrichment Institute (SEI) is a therapeutic alternative to traditional summer camp for children with ADHD and related social and behavioral challenges. The SEI is based on the Summer Treatment Program (STP), which is an evidence-based, award winning program.

The SEI is a highly structured and supportive program that leads to behavioral gains, improved social skills, and helps prevent against summer erosion of school year functioning. Activities include practicing and playing sports, art class, academic instruction, and weekly field trips. Children learn to increase pro-social behavior and decrease disruptive behavior through praise, positive reinforcement, and reward systems. At the SEI, children will enjoy making new friends, improving sports and art skills, and developing relationships with staff members. In addition, the SEI helps generalize summer gains by staying connected to families year round through a monthly support group, outreach to school education teams, and parent consultations.
